The Project:

A dated craftsman style foursquare needed love. Dark wood trim, different colored painted walls in each room and outdated light fixtures all felt tired. Dezaar Interiors worked with multiple contractors to update the existing spaces and also add a multi story addition encompassing a new kitchen, basement playroom and master bedroom with walk in closet and full ensuite bathroom.

The Client:

This is Nicole’s previous family home. Nicole adores color but for her own spaces prefers a more neutral palette, Luc is a stickler for architectural integrity which made for some fun discussions between the two of them! Originally purchased before children by the time of the remodel they had 2 young children with another one on the way.

The Inspiration:

The architecture of this craftsman style foursquare dictated a clean palette, with modern updates that still spoke to the original bones of the home. Bold black and white artwork and classic materials like marble, wood and subway tile were all utilized to deliver on the inspiration.
